The Watertown Family Network, sponsor of “Baby Buddies,” an intergenerational program for seniors and small children at Brigham House and other locations in town. The WFN also received funding for an intergenerational music program.

The Watertown Council on Aging received funds to provide supplemental and emergency taxi transportation for seniors, to present a program on maintaining good balance, and to celebrate the Senior Center’s 15th birthday.

Springwell, Watertown’s largest elder service agency, was given funding for its Meals On Wheels program, which delivers hundreds of nourishing meals to residents’ homes each month.

The Perkins School for the Blind was awarded a grant to continue its “Strategies for Life” program, providing in-home assistance to seniors experiencing vision loss.

The Watertown Housing Authority, working in concert with the Watertown Health Department and the Edinburgh Center, received support for a comprehensive pilot program to address issues of excessive hoarding, which may create hazardous living conditions for elderly residents.
  
Marshall Home Fund Program Grant Recipients - 2009
The Alzheimer’s Association was given support for a patient and family education program.

The Arsenal Center for the Arts received funding to offer a range of art classes for seniors, as well as free tickets to a wide variety of performances.

The Watertown Health Department was awarded grant money to provide emergency kits for seniors, as well as educational resources for the hard of hearing.

Windsor House, an adult day health program, was given scholarship money to benefit clients from Watertown.
