Guidelines
1. Applicants must be 55 years of age or older, and must reside in Watertown.
 
2. Requests for individual assistance must come through a public agency, town department, town official, or private organization.
  
3. The assistance requested must not be readily available from any other source.
 
   The Fund’s Allocations Committee will not require proof of financial eligibility from grant applicants who are seeking $1,000.00 or less and who have been pre-screened by another agency.  However, the  Committee may ask for the applicant’s financial information, including a copy of his/her most recent federal income tax return, for grant requests exceeding $1,000.00.  The need for such evidence will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

   The Committee is prepared to consider applications for emergency assistance grants at any time, and will expedite the approval process as much as possible.
  
   The Marshall Home Fund will consider requests for financial assistance to meet the urgent needs of an individual under the following circumstances:
